We recently became aware of an issue that may have caused benchmark contamination in an ancestor checkpoint of the released 1B model. As a result, the performance of the released 1B model as reported in Table 1 and 2 (1B row) may be inflated.
The model works correctly and it can continue to be used for downstream applications unrelated to these benchmarks. However, if you do use the model, or a derivative of it, to assess performance on these benchmarks, please do not rely on them until we conclude our investigation.
We apologise for the mistake and the disruption caused by it.
