So, you could make your own modifications to channel io. If you have it checked out, you can do git clone on that checkout location. that way you can update your main checkout and pull changes into your modified branch to do clean conflict handling if conflicts ever occurr, without losing the option to just use an updated version straight away. Anyway. The real thing about this is working within the loaded model/context which has huge performance advantages compared to launching new prompt after new prompt. This is getting better support now (look into session saves and BLAS support). As is, I don't se another was than doing a straight \"here is the input, write the output\" thing and going from there with your own logic to do the next promt. I would say the bad parts of his personality and temperament have become intensified. He was off work for about a month because of health issues so he's taken out a few projects around the house. The place looks like hoarders - there's literally no room to walk. Some other \"odd\" thing he has done that sorry me have to do with his little projects. He painted a red mark on their front door and set up a small tent in their front yard. When I visited him on Father's Day I asked him what he was doing (he was cleaning a box of hand saws he just bought from a yard saw) and he told me he's just \"preparing\" his box because \"when the grid goes down\" he will be well prepared. He's always belittled my Mother, but now he follows her around and constantly gets in her face. There was a few days these past weeks where she just sat in the dark because he didn't allow her to watch tv, because the \"devil is inside the tv\" and \"they are putting subliminal messages into your mind.\" We just had another incident about 2-hours ago. He threatened my brother who lives with them and called the cops. After speaking with the officers they made it seem like there isn't much of anything they can do because they're not \"medical health professionals.\" I felt they didn't quite grasp the situation and chalked it up as just another domestic issue. My Dad has always been high strung, but lately he talks about the apocalypse and how the government or \"communist liberals\" are going to come. Yes, the same rhetoric you'll hear from any other doomsayers. The only reason this is worth mentioning is because I worry that he's going to cause harm to himself or someone else. I would imagine that if he feels he has nothing to lose, he could possibly react in a way that's harmful to others. I should probably mention that we caught him sniffing paint a few years ago. I have no idea how long it went on for, or whether he still does it. But I do remember him being a little more aggressive and irritable when we knew (paint around his lips and nose) he was doing it. Look up who the editor is. Try to pitch to them directly when you have a specific story idea. Learn the digital skills. Teach yourself to film, photograph, edit video and start your own website. You need to be a self starter. You will have to freelance for a while before anyone will hire you as staff. And frankly, in this climate, you need to be mentally prepared to get laid off and be freelance again even if you someday manage to secure a cushy staff position. I've gotten really into snowboarding for the last year or two, went to Colorado in a coed group last year when I was single (no hookups happened, just all girl/guy friends) and I want to go a few times this winter. I told my gf about two trips I'm planning with different groups of guy friends, of which a few want to bring their gf's along. She's not ok with me going and would break up if I went because she's uncomfortable with me sleeping in a house for a weekend with other girls (keep in mind their bf's/husbands are there). Sure I'd love to go myself to Colorado but that would be a huge bummer. I've asked her to provide me an alternative but she doesn't have one, except to go to Wisconsin to snowboard instead (that's a joke compared to Colorado). I've introduced her to the people going on the trip (of which one wife was drunk and flirty, that didn't help my gf feel any better) and ever offered to pay for her flight with my points. What if you grow up in a place that does not offer free education? What if you grow in a place without a good government to help you? What if you grow up in a family that can not afford to send you to school? There are many countries that do not offer free education or good education. There are also countries like Iran that discriminate against women and it becomes very difficult for them to get an education. However, I think your post focused around America, so I will delve into that subject. In America, your point makes a good deal more sense. There is welfare, free education, libraries, and scholarships. Colleges are always willing to give scholarships to hardworking poor people because they get so few of them. However even with all of this, the system does not always work. Many public schools quite frankly, suck. The good ones tend to be in richer neighborhoods or nice suburbs. The ones in the poor neighborhoods have apathetic teachers, even more apathetic parents and students, are deep in debt, and have extremely bad administration. There are classes where students will not learn much at all. I am in through an urban public highschool with largely poor black kids. Most of them have no supportive family like yours, did not have a good beginning in education when they were to young to realize that education might be good for them, and the school system doesn't do anything about it. They get kicked out if they get bad grades, but no one actually stops them from getting bad grades or encourages them to get good ones. At this point, they are too far behind to easily catch up on their own without adult support. Most of the teachers in the non-advanced classes are the worse ones, the better ones being assigned to the advanced classes. I think the thing that makes it hardest to succeed is having bad parents, particularly uneducated, poor, and demotivating ones. When a child is very young they do not know any better and only try as hard in school as their parents make them. By the time they are old enough to understand this, it is too late for them to catch up without help and most of the time, that help never comes. The key difference in your scenario is that your parents were supportive. beyond-earth settings Never thought about it before, but I do remember a few things from my science classes in middle school. A year on earth is 365 days, but other planets in our solar system take way longer and even differ in how many hours or months they have compared to Earth. Now, I'm not exactly an expert on this but I'm pretty sure I got that right. Different planets have different cycles and concepts of time. I first played mass effect and I enjoyed it, it was a very solid game. Then I realized how everybody shared the same concept of time despite everybody being aliens and from different star systems. Played dead space and I felt the same way. I can see it from a developers/studios point of view to just call everything years and make it easier. And with God's grace, I have somehow made it through each day, even till today. I did learn so much, spiritually, and personally. I was in a similar situation before where I knew the job is not something I see myself in for the next few years, and eventually He did open another job.
